Job Summary:

As part of the Agency Habitat team, our Photographer will be responsible for bringing branded stories and content to life through a variety of photography styles. You must have experience in lighting, studio setup, model photography, product photography and post-production, editing and retouching. You’ll work closely with the Brand Engagement team and core creative teams to plan, coordinate, light, shoot, edit and deliver photo assets to clients that can be used on websites, social media and digital ad placements. We will shoot content in house and externally on location. This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Associate Creative Content Director and the agency’s core creative teams to plan, coordinate, shoot and edit striking photography content for clients
  • Collaborating with people in other departments such as Project Managers and Brand Managers to conceptualize photo shoots
  • Post-production, editing and retouching final photography for use on websites, social media and digital ad placements
  • Assisting with pre-planning, including creating shot lists, prop and equipment needs, model searching and travel scheduling
  • Setting up equipment, including cameras, lighting, wardrobe and props
  • Preparing behind the scenes photos for social media
  • Maintaining studio order and equipment, as well as naming and organization of photography files


Reports to: Associate Creative Content Director

External Relationships: This role does not manage others

External Relationships: Clients, Crew, Vendors


Work Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience as a photographer working with clients; agency experience a plus

Work Requirements: Potential for occasional overtime and travel. May work odd hours dependent on shoot schedules

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Photojournalism or Photography a plus but not required

Knowledge and skill set requirements:

  • 2+ years of shooting, editing retouching skills; Proficiency with Nikon cameras a plus
  • Online portfolio of your work
  • Strong background in editing/post-production
  • Understanding of lighting in the studio and on location
  • Color grading proficiency
  • Conceptual skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Excellent file management
  • Ability to work efficiently among multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Experience with camera operation, shot framing, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously
