The Agency Habitat / Lowtown Studios Experience:

Content is the heart of everything we do. We have revolutionized the agency model to meet the modern need for agile, dynamic content creation.  As part of the Agency Habitat and Lowtown Studios team, our Photography Intern will be responsible for supporting on photoshoots, managing equipment, retouching images, social media content creation and asset delivery. The Photography Intern may have the opportunity to connect with our art directors, content creators and animators to help produce content that is on brand and on strategy without creative compromise.  It’s crucial for this role to remain flexible and willing to help where needed, as well as work creatively with a variety of people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution and management of a variety of client photoshoots and content creation
  • Support studio team members on photoshoots, retouching, reel creation, and concept developments
  • Maintaining and managing photography equipment, files, and relationships
  • Participate in meetings and develop an understanding of the overall studio processes
  • Occasionally assist photographers on location or outside of normal business hours (not to exceed agreed upon weekly hours)
  • Recommend creative ideas to exceed expectations of goals and objectives
  • Execute photoshoots, post-process files and deliver assets
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed; 50lbs or more
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

 

Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements:

  • Understanding of the basics of photography, marketing, and social media
  • Willingness to learn new processes and programs
  • Knowledge of DSLR and Photoshop
  • Entry level knowledge of CaptureOne or Lightroom, Studio Lighting, and Schedule Management
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Willingness to learn studio equipment, etiquette, marketing, and reel creation
  • Strong QA abilities, with an eye for detail
  • Strong teamworking skills and patience
  • Flexible to travel to locations as required outside of the job
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstration of a flexible and adaptable work style
  • Ability to work well under pressure

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Working towards or have obtained a bachelor’s degree (Photography or related fields), or 3+ years photography experience.
  • Work Requirements: Minimum of 20-29 hours per week in our office @ $12/hour. This role requires skill in front of and behind the camera. Please note, there is a potential for occasional schedule modifications outside of the normal 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. workday, particularly during agency events or special projects. Flexibility in scheduling and ability to travel when needed is essential.

  • Reports to: Photographers
  • Manages: This role does not manage others
  • External relationships: Videographers, Producers, Stylists
