Senior Marketing Analyst

Job Summary:

The Senior Marketing Analyst provides the “why” behind all major strategic initiatives for Agency Habitat clients. S/he will lead the agency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting insights that drive marketing strategy for prospective, new, and existing clients. The Senior Marketing Analyst will also have an aptitude for keeping apprised of new trends and developments in the marketing landscape.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct/lead market research for prospective, new, and existing clients to inform marketing decisions/recommendations
  • Manage research vendors in execution of primary market research initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal Media, Creative and Account Services staff to drive marketing strategies
  • Present strategic recommendations to internal and external teams
  • Utilize research and data to support marketing recommendations
  • Develop a firm understanding of consumer behavior for a variety of clients and industries
  • Track and forecast market trends
  • Convert complex data into simple, easily understood graphs, charts, infographics, etc.
  • Develop new business presentations, collaborating with New Business, Brand Engagement, Creative and Account Service teams
  • Support Brand Managers by analyzing client input, background knowledge, research, field feedback, etc., to produce full brand/marketing/communications/business plans that meet and exceed the client’s marketing and business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Brand Managers and Brand Engagement to define audience profiles and journeys
  • Assist in identification of brand positioning, value propositions and key messages
  • Support message and tone development in coordination with Creative Directors and Copywriters
  • Mentor Brand Managers as it relates to research and strategy
  • Constantly monitor existing account industry trends for growth opportunities and work with team leads to capitalize on any opportunities that may arise
  • Keep apprised of clients’ brands/products/services/marketing developments
  • Contribute to onboarding new accounts as needed

Relationships:

Reports to: Vice President of Marketing

External relationships: Clients, Vendors

Qualifications:

Education: B.A. in Business, Management, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations or Liberal Arts

Work experience: 6+ years of relevant experience, including public relations, marketing or consulting; agency experience highly preferred; knowledge of healthcare and social media marketing a plus

Work requirements: Occasional overtime and travel required. May work some odd hours.

  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Pharmaceutical and medical device experience strongly preferred
