Social Media Strategist

Job Summary:

As part of the Agency Habitat team, the Social Media Strategist will work closely with the Associate Creative Content Director to help lead and implement social media strategy for the agency and its clients on all relevant social media channels with a heavy focus on influencer marketing. This role will own the identification of and communication with creators who fit with a variety of clients’ brand identity and tone, in order to help them achieve their marketing goals. They will work with these creators to ensure their campaigns meet predetermined goals and objectives across all relevant social media platforms. The Social Media Strategist must be knowledgeable about pop culture, understand how influencers and social content can grow a brand, and be excited to develop authentic influencer marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, implement and manage the entire influencer strategy and process
  • Determine social strategy recommendations based on client KPIs
  • Identify influencer, affiliate, and/or ambassador partnership opportunities relevant to specific clients
  • Communicate and negotiate with selected influencers
  • Review any influencer-provided creative and coordinate delivery of any relevant assets to influencers
  • Schedule posts across multiple channels for agency accounts
  • Compile, analyze and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results

Other Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure innovative thinking and authentic brand implementations
  • Research relevant industry experts, competitors, target audiences, and users
  • Monitor influencer’s social media and be aware of brand fit and competitive partnerships
  • Create relationships with new influencers while maintaining a rapport with our existing influencer base
  • Research and monitor social media trends, tools, and applications in order to assist in recommending alternative ways to leverage social media activity
  • Strategize, educate, and advise the internal account service team as well as clients on incorporating relevant social media techniques
  • Assist with the execution of strategic plans that will increase visibility, membership, and traffic across all client brands
  • Assist with and perform other tasks as assigned


Reports to: Associate Creative Content Director & Senior Engagement and Data Manager
External Relationships: Influencers, Talent Agencies, Clients, and Consumers following our social accounts


Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Advertising/PR, Communications or related fields) preferred

Work Experience: 3+ years working with social platforms specifically within influencer marketing; agency experience a plus

Work Requirements: Potential for occasional overtime and travel. May work odd hours.

Knowledge and skill set requirements:

  • Proficiency in influencer marketing platforms (Izea, TikTok Creator Marketplace, etc.)
  • Skilled in social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Twitch) tools and techniques
  • Understanding of digital strategy, social analytics, content creation, and influencer relations
  • Ability to both create and maintain relationships with influencers
  • Proficient in reporting analytical data to both internal and external teams in an actionable format
  • Ability to learn the vernacular of different clients/industries and the communities of their customers
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstration of a flexible and adaptable work style
  • Ability to work well under pressure
