Account Services Intern – Fall 2026
The Role:
We know that collaboration, open communication, accountability, and a humble spirit drive us forward at Habitat — and we’re looking to grow with you. We need team players who want to work hard and contribute to the greater success of our clients and community. We do life together with our clients and teammates through brand, content, and media.
Our paid internship program is dedicated to recognizing and nurturing young talent by offering hands-on opportunities to learn and grow within a supportive environment. As part of the Agency Habitat team, the Account Services Intern will be immersed in the culture of a dynamic agency from day one — shadowing, learning from, and assisting brand managers with day-to-day account work.
You’ll report to our Executive Brand Director and/or their appointees.
Brands We Work With:
WHAT YOU’D DO
— Project and creative briefs — you’ll learn to write them and understand why they matter.
— Research — audience and competitor analysis that actually informs strategy.
— The paper trail — meeting notes, status reports, financial trackers, and internal and client-facing documents.
— Project management — working in our PM system to open projects, develop schedules, complete reviews, and mark up feedback.
— Day-to-day campaign support — assisting with individual projects and miscellaneous campaigns as they move.
— The room — brainstorming sessions, kickoff meetings, client reviews, presentations, and status calls.
WHAT YOUR WEEK ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
— Sitting in on client meetings and learning how the team leads the conversation
— Learning SOW development — tactical descriptions, budget allocation, the works
— Writing briefs and taking meeting notes that people actually reference later
— Performing audience or competitor research and synthesizing what you find
— Working in our project management system — schedules, estimates, reviews, feedback markup
— Helping manage status reports and financial trackers
— Participating in agency-wide intern projects
— Traveling locally when assignments call for it
WHO YOU ARE
— Working toward (or holding) a B.A. or B.S. in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, PR, Liberal Arts, or a related field
— Sharp analytically — you notice details others miss and you follow through
— A strong communicator, written and verbal, who can hold their own in a room
— Comfortable working independently and in a team, sometimes at the same time
— Resourceful — you find answers before you ask for them, and you ask good questions when you need to
— Able to handle multiple projects without dropping the ball
— A collaborative team player who thrives alongside people from different backgrounds
— Responsible, dependable, and genuinely willing to jump in when needed
— Based in Fort Worth or ready to be — minimum 21–29 hours per week, in-office at $12/hour
WHAT WE OFFER
— Paid internship at $12/hour
— Real hands-on experience across brand, content, production, and media
— A clear view into what agency life actually looks like, from the inside
— Clients you’ll be proud to put in your portfolio
— A Fort Worth office built for the way creatives actually work — an in-house prop library, a wardrobe vault, a studio at your fingertips, and three coffee makers (we take all three seriously)
— A team that celebrates wins, supports each other through the hard stuff, and laughs a lot
OUR CULTURE
We don’t believe culture is ping-pong tables or free snacks (though we’re not mad about snacks). Culture is how we show up for each other, how we think about the work, and how we treat the brands that trust us with theirs.
Some days are heads-down and deadline-driven. Others are loud, collaborative, and full of ideas flying across the room. We make space for both. We celebrate wins. We support each other through the hard stuff. We laugh a lot. Sometimes at inappropriate times. It’s fine. We’re professionals who know every day is better working together.
