The Agency Habitat / Lowtown Studios Experience:

Our paid internship program is dedicated to recognizing and nurturing young talent by offering hands-on opportunities to learn and grow within a supportive environment. Our mission is to provide interns with an introduction to the next generation brand agency, so they gain the real-world skills needed to excel in their careers. As part of the Agency Habitat team, the Account Services Intern will be immersed in the culture of a dynamic agency from day one and get the opportunity to shadow, learn from, and assist account managers with various day-to-day activities relating to their accounts. You’ll work alongside team leads to maintain individual job status and identify current/potential workload challenges within a fast-paced environment. Creative problem-solving and extreme organizational skills are a daily requirement, and you must be ready to tackle challenges and recognize opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shadow and learn from multiple departments in the agency
  • Attend brainstorming sessions, kickoff meetings, client reviews, presentations, client status calls, etc.
  • Learn about SOW development including tactical descriptions and budget allocation
  • Learn about and write project and creative briefs
  • Perform audience and/or competitor research
  • Take meeting notes
  • Learn about and work in our project management system to complete reviews, open project, develop schedules, develop estimates and mark up feedback
  • Strategically solve problems and present well-articulated questions and answers
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of individual projects and miscellaneous campaigns
  • Manage internal and client-facing documents including status reports, financials trackers, etc.
  • Participate in any agency-wide intern projects
  • Travel locally when necessary for assignments
  • Complete other tasks as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills, focus and attention to detail
  • Possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Exhibit ability to handle multiple projects with solid performance
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Most importantly, be responsible and dependable, willing to jump in and help when needed

Qualifications:

  • Education: Working towards or have obtained B.A. or B.S. in Business, Management, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, Liberal Arts or other related fields.
  • Work Experience: Relevant experience or proven track record; agency experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
  • Work Requirements:  Minimum of 20-29 hours per week in our office @ $12/hour. Occasional schedule shifts and travel may be required. May work some odd hours

  • Reports to: Associate Director of Account Management and/or their designees
  • External Relationships: Clients and Vendors

Our Hiring Process

We love it when people are excited to join our Habitat, and we’re just as excited to learn more about you and your experience.

Here’s what to expect from us during our hiring process:

We’ll review all candidates for consideration, then share your application with the appropriate team. If we decide to move forward, we may invite you to connect with us for an introductory call, or we may go straight to the interview.

Our hiring process can take some time, often two to three weeks, or more. Try not to stress out too much if you haven’t received an update. We know, easier said than done.

If you haven’t heard from us in awhile, we may need a little more time or we might have selected other candidates to fill the position. We’ll still keep your resume in mind if other relevant opportunities arise, so you may hear from us again if you seem like a good fit as we continue to expand our Habitat.
