The Habitat Internship Experience:

Our paid internship program is dedicated to recognizing and nurturing young talent by offering hands-on opportunities to learn and grow within a supportive environment. Our mission is to provide interns with an introduction to the next generation brand agency so they gain the real-world skills needed to excel in their careers. As a part of the team, our Studio Production Assistant /Editor intern will be immersed in the culture of a dynamic agency from day one and get the opportunity to shadow, learn from and assist with various day-to-day activities relating to their clients. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team and gain unique hands-on experience in the world of photography and videography equipment operations, including the physical tasks associated with the job, and support a team of in-house photographers, stylists and videographers.


Key Responsibilities:

Our Studio Production Assistant / Editor interns  are responsible for learning and executing in a variety of ways, as we believe it’s important to not only show and tell, but execute and do as well. Studio Production Assistant /Editor  interns may have the opportunity to support in the following:

Studio Production Assistant:

  • Equipment Handling: The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the handling, maintenance and organization of our extensive inventory of photography, videography and audio equipment, with a special emphasis on video gear. This includes cameras, lenses, lighting, tripods, gimbals and various video accessories.
  • Inventory Management Support: Help maintain an accurate inventory system. This includes checking equipment in and out, tracking its condition and ensuring all items are properly maintained and cleaned between usage.
  • Studio Maintenance: Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the Studio space, ensuring it remains a welcoming and efficient environment for our clients and team members, specifically for those with video production needs.
  • Video Production Assistance: Support the Studio team during video shoots, workshops and events. This may involve setting up video equipment, assisting clients on-site and participating in studio or agency events.
  • Collaboration with In-House Team: Work closely with and support a team of photographers, stylists and videographers in various aspects of their projects and productions.


  • Help organize and manage raw footage, ensuring efficient workflow and file management
  • Support the syncing of audio and video files, creating rough cuts and delivering final edits
  • Perform basic color correction and audio adjustments to ensure high-quality final products
  • Implement creative transitions, effects and graphics such as lower thirds and logo animations to enhance storytelling
  • Work with the Motion Graphic Designer to assist with direction of on-screen text and animation elements needed for the final product
  • Participate in any agency-wide intern projects
  • Travel locally when necessary for assignments
  • Complete other tasks as assigned


Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements:

Should you have mastered everything before beginning an internship? Absolutely not. To make the most of your internship and be prepared to learn in your field, we’d like you to possess the following:

  • Physical capability of lifting and moving equipment weighing over 50 pounds
  • Enthusiasm for videography and photography
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of videography equipment and production
  • A positive and proactive attitude



  • Reports to: Photographer and/or their designees



  • Fort Worth, TX



  • Education: Senior working toward or have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (RTVF, Cinematic Arts, Media Arts, Fine Arts or other relevant fields)
  • Work requirements: Minimum of 20-28 hours per week in our Fort Worth office @ $12/hour
    • Please note, this role may require hours outside of the normal 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. workday, particularly during agency events or special projects. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
